
" The Road to Pleasantville." This is not a true scene from Pleasantville NY but as with any artist it was his vision of a father & son living in a small town on their way home on a cold snowy night.
The above photo is only a small snap shot of this painting which I have digitally restored into a large print.
Sixty nine years later (as of this writing), the quality of my restored image, far exceeds that of the original, which hangs in my brother's living room.
The original, cracking & badly pitted, while a family heirloom has not been touched since Donato applied the last stroke to it, October 12th 1942.
To preserve the painting, I carefully photographed & restored it as a fine print. Yes, there are some minor specs (in keeping with the original look).
I can not make the large photo available online because it would be downloaded, copied, & possibly changed to make it read the Road To (Insert your city/town here). It could be sold by anyone, anywhere online to local craft stores & shows.
